Polar Bears Lost at Sea!

The Science Daily is reporting that an unusual amount of polar bears have been found swimming at least 60 miles of the coast of Alaska.

As of August 26th, 9 bears were reported to be swimming out in the open waters with no land in sight. What this could indicate is that the ice is melting faster than what was predicted. Polar Bears need ice to hunt for their survival. Without the ice, they have to swim great distances for their chance to hunt for food. And while the polar bears were recently listed only as threatened by our government, Alaska is suing the government to take the polar bear off of that list.

The funny thing is that the 9 polar bears that were reported lost in the see were found by people conducting Marine Surveys for Offshore Drilling.

What are we going to do about that???
